How to embed fonts in Word documents so they stay even if you send the file - purcellbrinelition
Sara Shutt wants to email Word documents with an unusual font. Simply her documents come without the font she chose.
Back in the years when we printed our documents and snail-armoured them, this wasn't a job. But today, if you care roughly your elect font, you have to make a point it travels with the written document.
That's actually pretty easy with Microsoft Word. Merely there are, of course, qualifications.
I tested this in Formulate 2010 and 2013.

To make the fonts travel with the file, click the File tab and select Options.
1. In the Book Options dialog loge, select Save in the left control board.
2. And then hitch Embed fonts in the lodge.
That's it. The font will be visible on the recipient's computer…maybe. Also, the file might constitute large.
Lease's babble about file size of it. I tested this with a really small, 25KB DOCX file. But when I checked the Embed fonts in the fileoption and saved the filing cabinet again, it had ballooned to terminated 4MB.
No matter what you bash, the files leave cost bigger. But they get into't have to be that much bigger. If you function back to Options > Save, you'll find two options below "Embed fonts in the file." I found that checking Do not embed common system of rules fonts reduced the file size to about 1.4MB. Checking the other option–operating theatre both options–reduced it to a reasonable 56KB.
Big or small, your choice fonts won't show high in all programs. In my tests, the baptistry Notepaper Airplanes showed up in Word and LibreOffice. It did non exhibit up in WordPad (unless the face was pre-installed onto the Microcomputer) or Google Docs.
So it's possible that even with this change, your recipient will not see the fonts you chose.
